The Power of Community

Green (Living) Review

by Michael Smith (Veshengro) Cohesive communities are a threat – or at least are as such perceived – to the powers-that-be (but really should not be) and it is for that very reason that such areas, such communities, are always targeted for break up and its residents for dispersal. And that is the very reason why we need to rediscover community and the power of community. Today, though, community hardly exists in our co-called communities.

Green Living 2.0, Sustainable Communities

Green Home Blog

Many of the Baby Boomers were born or grew up the 1960s and 1970s, which set the stage for all kinds of sustainable concepts from communal or community living to vegetarianism, or not eating meat. Now that the Boomers are retiring and experiencing the “empty nest” syndrome, the half-century dream of living in a “green community” is re-emerging. If it all sounds too airy-fairy, consider this: America was founded by individuals who favored the community living principle.
