    Large flocks of Great and Snowy Egrets appeared like sails against the green and blue background of the reservoir, with Tricolored and Great Blue Herons contrasted in darker plumage. Egrets in the distance. There are few places I have seen with more birds than Rodman Reservoir. The photographic opportunities were endless.
