Tealet: Sharing Responsible, Sustainable Tea with the World

Green Living Ideas

The amount of information packed into its label is impressively done, without getting to the point of saturation like a Dr. Bronner’s soap bottle (not that we don’t love Dr. Bronner’s too!). Among the companies we love here at Green Living Ideas is an international tea wholesaler called Tealet. The company was founded by a Elyse Petersen, who completed her MBA at the University of Hawaii who was a leader of the Net Impact chapter.

Suds Up With These Healthy Soaps!

I wash my face with Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Liquid Soap. I’ve romanticized the idea of making my own all-natural soaps for a while now, even giving them out as gifts, but the problem is that I can’t seem to find the time to do it! Making our own cleansing products after work probably isn’t going to happen for most of us. But you can’t just grab just any old soap off the shelf either.

How to Combat Aphids

Use diluted soap (not detergent, something natural like Dr. Bronners ) to spray on the plants. Aphids suck! Sap that is, from your gorgeous plants. Overripe Summer Fruit: 3 Delicious Ways to Use It

Eco Chic

Melt the butter or coconut oil (Dr. Bronner’s is the BEST) in a skillet. I’ll admit it; I go a little hog-wild this time of year at the farmer’s market with the fruit. And then I end up with overripe summer fruit. Here’s what to do with it.

Melt the butter or coconut oil (Dr. Bronner’s is the BEST) in a skillet. I’ll admit it; I go a little hog-wild this time of year at the farmer’s market with the fruit. I can feel the season where I get to eat perfectly ripe peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries just slipping away from me, so I buy extra, and then… it gets a bit soft before I get a chance to eat it. And then what?

Greening up your Spring Cleaning

Green Life Smart Life

Pure Castile Soap (I like Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap). A couple of years ago after being fed up buying bottles of “green” window cleaner that never offered a larger sized re-fill version–I started making a few of my own cleaning products for everyday use around the house. Since then I have enjoyed a home free of that stinky cleaning product smell-which absolutely nauseates me just thinking about it, and keeps my lean budget a little meatier.

How I got Longer, Stronger, Thicker Hair—Naturally

I use straight-up organic coconut oil (I like Dr. Bronner’s because their plantations are closely monitored for worker’s rights) warmed up between my palms, or Dr. Hauschka’s Neem Oil. Me with shorter (straightened) hair because I couldn’t get it to grow. . Hair is such a weird thing, isn’t it? It’s dead material that grows, it’s reactive to the environment (especially moisture), yet it feels alive.

Eco-Vegan Girl

Body care brands like Dr. Bronner''s and Alaffia are doing this. "If conscientious consumption means we avoid contributiong to suffering, palm is clearly problematic." ~ Mark Hawthorne.
