Compost Comparison

Green Earth Journey

Do you compost? Many more people are beginning to compost lately, and this includes those living in urban areas. With the resurgence of the Victory Garden, and even apartment dwellers starting potted vegetable gardens on balconies, composting just makes good sense. Many companies have jumped on the new demand and have created smaller and more efficient compost systems that can even be used indoors. I do not use an indoor system, so I did a little research.

A recent trip brought me face-to-face with some unexpected cultural differences. Although the UK and Canada have many features in common, stemming from some shared history and plenty of immigration, travelling in the UK is a very different prospect. And it’s not just about driving on the left side of the road. For a start, there’s the price of petrol – or gasoline. These days, the global focus is on escalating oil and gas prices.

A referee asked for clustered standard errors, which Limdep doesn't do on top of a random effects panel estimator.

Libya’s Oil Reserves Pale in Comparison to Solar

Green Prophet

Libya has long relied on its crude oil resources for revenue, but the country possesses a natural resource far more abundant and hardly tapped at all: sun. Nearly 90 percent of the country is comprised of sun-drenched desert or semi desert and only 1.03 percent of the land is arable. Match this with solar irradiation that far north countries would die for, and Libya is sitting on a veritable gold mine.
