The Thing About Colombia

10,000 Birds

The nation of Colombia has been the victim of some bad press over the last few decades, not all of this is entirely unjustified. The government of Colombia was involved in a long-simmering and occasionally boiling war with guerilla groups in the rural parts of the country. The result being that Colombia was not on the top of many traveler’s lists of places to visit, and was a rather difficult place to make a living for much of the populace as well.
