Ten Things…Continued.
Lack of Organic Fiber Clothes. I want to wear more eco-friendly fashion. And the few pieces I have from Rogan, Loomstate, and even a few organic Ralph Lauren pieces are really part of my wardrobe staples. On training days, use the gym. . Today, that ranting continues! Blame it on my calendar: I use a Filofax.

Sustainable Measures has developed a one-day training course on sustainable community indicators. The course can be used by: individuals as a self-directed introductory course, organizations that work with communities on sustainability issues, and community groups that are thinking about starting an indicator project.

Organic Farming Scheme set for review
Minister for Food and Horticulture at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Trevor Sargent has announced a review of the Organic Farming Scheme, under which support is paid to farmers in the sector. Currently, just over 1% of agricultural land in Ireland is certified organic.

10,000 Organic vegetable seeds packs to give away
Glenisk, the family owned and operated organic dairy company has joined forces with The Organic Centre, Rossinver, Co Leitrim to encourage Irish people to grow their own organic vegetables this summer. Under the scheme, entitled Grow Your Own Organic Garden, Glenisk will give away ten thousand packs of organic vegetable seeds.
