With recession biting organic sales are down
by Michael Smith (Veshengro) Not only are sales down but many farms are going back to “normal” ways of production and abandoning – though for the time being only, many say – the organic production methods. That cuts out the “organic” beans from Kenya then for starters and it should do so too. The same for “organic” farmers.

But, with the correct seasoning and a rich, organic vegetable stock this vegetarian version hits the spot. Rinse l lb dry black beans and cook in 4 cups vegetable stock. vegetable oil, 1/2 cup honey, 2 cups plain yoghurt and 2 beaten eggs. Like so many Irish folks, I am sensitive to foods containing gluten. Mix well.
