Ten Things I Need to Work On
In the last 3 weeks, I have flown to Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Minneapolis and San Francisco. I don’t always take the plastic caps off the plastic recyclables when I recycle. So I decided to make a list of ten things I need to focus on to be less wasteful and more green. Here’s my list: Try to Fly Less.

Local Students Take Initiative To Help Red Sox Be Green
The Green Team is a group of volunteers from local universities, sponsored by groups like Poland Spring and Waste Management, who show up at every Red Sox home game to collect every plastic cup in the park to be recycled. The Green Team also helps educate fans about the importance of recycling and going green.

China bans plastic bags
Australia is contemplating the move, as are cities such as London and Boston. New York City is considering legislation that would require large stores to recycle plastic bags. Bangladesh has banned plastic shopping bags completely since 2002 when they were found to block drainage systems and cause flooding during monsoon rains.
